Inspiration
The inspiration of Mr. Berk’s humidor comes from the ancient Chinese coins. These coins share a round shape with a hollowing out of square in the middle, indicating a philosophy of round sky and square land, and the traditional Chinese culture of harmony between human and nature.

As a fan of cigar, Berk has blended the paradise enjoyment that he gains from cigar into this design. As the square dark brown glass mirror inset in the top and the cube of the same size inside the box stand for the gift from nature, the round box shape stands for heaven.

The cover’s black gloss paint process is the designer’s tribute to China’s long-lasting wood lacquer craft, and the main body has used zebra wood grain with a gloss lacquer coating to make it more modern looking.

A home for your cigars
The humidor can hold 70 to 80 cigars, and the cigar can be as long as 7.5 inch. The Spanish cedar inside can well maintain the humidity and create a perfect space for the cigars to develop a most enjoyable flavor. The limited edition Genco Berk cigar box is a successful combination of this natural wood and excellent craftsmanship.

This Delight cigar box will be produced in a limited quantity of 300, each has a piece of stainless steel sheet on the bottom bearing the name of owner and a serial number.

About the designer
Genco Berk, born in Istanbul, has spent his childhood in Germany, and studied architecture in Istanbul and the United States. He calls himself “citizen of the world’.

His experiences of following his artists parents to visit European art galleries and attend a variety of artistic activities since young age, as well as the art cultivation of his parents have left subtle influence on him, and cultivated his keen sense of trend and a deep understanding of style, which leads him to seek for unique artistic answers in design.

This second-generation architect, interior designer, and also furniture designer, has been focusing on the interior decorating of high-end residence in the Europe, China and Japan for the past thirty years.
