Glashütte Original has created the brand’s first pocket watch, Glashütte Original Pocket Watch No. 1 with quarter hour repetition in a limited edition of just 25 pieces.

The inspiration comes from the Julius Assmann antique pocket watch collected by the Museum Glashütte in Germany. The museum was officially opened in May 2008, at present there are more than 400 precious collections of works, re-edition of Museum collections is another way to present the past good days.
The quarter hour repetition is an important feature of Pocket Watch NO.1, which can tell time by quarter and hour. First, the hour is told in a lower sound, and then a higher sound reports the quarter. In the 6′clock position is a sliding knob to operate the repeater function, the spring can be tightened by moving the sliding knob towards 9′clock direction.

The Glashütte Original watch is done in 18k rose gold, and the dial is presented on white enamel with blued steel hands, slim Roman numerals and running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Both the dial and case back is fitted with hinged lids. And the watch also comes with a tasteful chain done in 18k rose gold. The exact size is unknown though, the watch looks having an average pocket watch size.
Beating inside in the hand-wound 84-10 is a brand-new caliber movement by Glashütte Original. This movement has two distinctive features aside from the regular time. Firstly, it has a quarter repeater mechanism operated through the lever on the side of the watch. And the audio form is precise to the closest quarter hour. Secondly, the movement has a zero-reset mechanism for the seconds hand. When you pull out the crown and set the time, the mechanism resets the seconds indicator.
